Tallentire Area Action Group is not opposed to wind energy as such, but expresses great concerns over the environmental damage that wind farms can cause. It is the impact of these industrial installations and their side-effects that are opposed - not wind power itself
We strongly OBJECT to this proposal because of the environmental impact on the unique landscapes across the Northern Lakes and Solway coast.
The “green”, environmentally-sound alternative for the Northern Fells is not to build turbines on this pristine landscape. In attempting to solve one environmental problem we must not leave a landscape nightmare as our legacy..
